About:

The Milwaukee Accordion Club was founded in March 1991 and current membership approximates 250. Our Mission is to stimulate a positive attitude toward the performance of music on the accordion by strengthening relationships with fellow musicians, expanding knowledge of the accordion and accordion playing, and by developing various musical programs to acquaint the general public with the education and entertainment values of the accordion.

Monthly meetings are held (generally on the fourth Monday of the month) at the Root River Center in Franklin, WI. A typical evening consists of Pre-meeting Music provided by accordionists from within our membership; a Young-Artist Performance presented by an accordion student; and the Featured Program – which over the years has included performances by many national and international accordion artists. The genre of music runs the gamut from classical to jazz – with a mix of ethnic, polkas, big band, Cajun, country, etc. – something for everyone!
